I followed Melissa Placencio, an employee at Brilliant Sky Toys and Books, around for a day. Brilliant Sky is a specialty toy store located in Phoenix, Arizona’s Ahwatukee area.

The retail giant Best Buy’s decision has hit its Chinese employees hard. When they arrived at work, Best Buy workers were greeted by a video of the company’s CEO, announcing the closure. The company hadn’t previously disclosed the decision to its employees, and workers have been caught unprepared. But Best Buy says the company will compensate employees, and will keep on some members of the management team. Best Buy plans to offer retail jobs at its Five Star stores.
